My Bad

Update by: Don

June 20, 2024

Well today won’t go down as a great day on P2P. Especially for me

It started with such promise of a test racing around San Marino but sadly they decided it would not be a competitive event which is shame as the narrow streets were made for the mini

I ruined the day driving out of San Marino and not seeing a big speed bump. I broke the rear suspension ( people remember our challenges in Kazakhstan?)

Anyway the good news is we have the spares this time and Stuart replaced the broken rod and the sweeps arrived to help us fix the broken pin

It meant were by then @2 hours behind

We had long roads and so many turns to catch up with the pack

We got penalised for missing the first 3 check points but after that we made the timings just about

We eventually got to Genoa by 8pm and have thoroughly gone thru the car swapping wheels around / bleeding brakes and making sure the suspension is up for tomorrow

I still can’t find the words to explain how tough the Route was and how rough today. I certainly don’t have the pictures to show!

We have 3 days left of which tomorrow looks the hardest. We will see how we get on

Sweeps were amazing yet again
This was one of the good roads as we drove up and over Italy from east to West
Genoa not that we’ve seen much!
