Update by: Don

May 23, 2024

The longest driving day so far with 680km. Fortunately a lot cooler at high 20’s with lots of wind

Finished. Crossing the Gobi desert and drove through a tunnel to find a green grocer wonderland. Why because it was right next to an amazing river which allowed all sorts of crops to grow. ( including Chinese Wine

Will make sure on whatever day I post on whatever topic I will also add at the end a picture of the Mini parked next to another competitors car. The come in all shapes / sizes / years / models

Tomorrow is a more modest 478km! Before we have our first rest day we cross the Jade river and arrive at the end of the day at Dunhuang

Long and straight road
Cowboy landscape
Lots of wind turbines and solar
Two of the smaller cars on the rally
Jiayuguan city centre
